I believe everyone deserves their story. It shouldn’t be a struggle to share your worth.
I penned my first short story when I was five years old. Objectively speaking, The Girl With the Longest Hair in the World wasn’t great, but it was the first spark of a lifelong passion for writing and storytelling.
After earning a business degree and starting a career in advertising, I realized my passion could be applied for a different purpose: crafting stories that communicate a message, and meet a goal.
My career path was winding, but it never strayed from that purpose. I steadily built the breadth of my expertise—using stories to sell everything from products to personal brands, gaining experience in copywriting, marketing, and journalism, and learning innumerable lessons as a serial entrepreneur.
The best part of all those experiences: Helping others to understand their own value and how to share it with the people that need it. Because it’s hard to read the label from inside the jar, and that shouldn’t be the reason the world misses out on your magic sauce.
A few highlights along my journey:
I helped to turn Sweetspot.ca from a newsletter with a few thousand subscribers in Toronto into one of Canada’s top lifestyle sites for women, before selling my stake to Rogers.
I embarked on a six-year journey to find the world’s most remote office while penning content marketing copy for Fortune 500 brands like Crest, Telus, and Nissan.
I spent seven years as owner and Co-CEO of Women of Influence, where I created the organization’s digital media arm, growing the community nearly 2000% before being acquired in 2022.
